This Cookie Policy explains what cookies and similar technologies maps.photography uses, and why.

1. What we use today

maps.photography currently uses only strictly necessary cookies: a session cookie set by our authentication provider (Supabase) that keeps you signed in as you move between pages. Without it, you would be asked to sign in again on every page.

We do not currently use analytics, advertising, or any third-party tracking cookies, and we do not use cookies to build a profile of you across other websites.

2. Why we do not ask for consent for this cookie

Under EU law (the ePrivacy Directive, implemented in Spain through the LSSI-CE), cookies that are strictly necessary to provide a service you have requested — like staying signed in — are exempt from the requirement to ask for your consent beforehand. That is the only kind of cookie we use today, so we do not show a cookie consent banner.

If we ever add analytics, marketing, or any other non-essential cookie in the future, we will update this page and ask for your consent first, with an equally easy way to accept or decline.

3. Paddle's own cookies

When you choose to buy a Photo Map, you are taken to a checkout page hosted by Paddle, our payment processor and Merchant of Record, on Paddle's own domain. Paddle may set its own cookies there under its own cookie and privacy policy, which we do not control — see Paddle's Privacy Policy for details.

4. Managing cookies

Most browsers let you view, delete, or block cookies through their settings. Blocking our necessary session cookie will sign you out and may prevent parts of the Service — like your library — from working correctly.
